MOMENT OF ENCOUNTER DEVOTIONAL
By Prophet Dr. Abiodun Adesida
*CROWNED WITH GLORY*
*(Loving the Masterpiece Within Me* )
Scripture Anchor
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." — Psalm 139:14
*The Problem with Many Mirrors*
One of the greatest tragedies of life is that many people spend years criticizing a masterpiece that God spent time creating.
Some stand before the mirror every morning as if they are members of a "Fault-Finding Committee."
"My nose is too big."
"My head is too small."
"I am too short."
"I am too tall."
"I am too dark."
"I am too light."
If complaints could improve appearance, some people would have become angels by now!
The truth is this: God never consulted your neighbors, your critics, your village association, or social media commentators before creating you. He designed you according to His eternal purpose.
You are not heaven's mistake.
You are heaven's project.
You are not an accident.
You are God's deliberate investment.
When People Misjudge What God Has Chosen
Nathanael looked at Nazareth and asked,
"Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" (John 1:46)
What a question!
Imagine rejecting a package because of the address on the envelope.
Yet from that same Nazareth came Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
People may look at your background and conclude that nothing significant can emerge from your life.
Let them talk.
God specializes in producing royal treasures from unlikely places.
A diamond does not lose its value because it was discovered in the dirt.
*God's Hall of Unexpected Champions*
The Bible is full of people who had reasons to dislike themselves but chose to trust God's opinion instead.
*Moses: The Stammering Spokesman*
Moses could barely complete a sentence without worrying about his speech.
Yet God said, "You are the one who will address Pharaoh."
God was apparently not bothered by the issue Moses couldn't stop talking about.
*David: The Forgotten Son*
When Samuel arrived to anoint a king, David's father didn't even invite him to the meeting.
The family almost conducted a royal selection exercise without him.
Yet the forgotten boy became Israel's greatest king.
*Gideon: The Mighty Worrier*
Gideon introduced himself as the least member of the weakest family.
God interrupted his self-pity and called him a mighty warrior.
Sometimes heaven's opinion and our opinion are living in different countries.
*Ruth and Rahab: Women of Grace*
One was a foreign widow.
The other had a painful reputation.
Yet grace rewrote their stories and placed them in the lineage of Jesus Christ.
Their past could not cancel God's purpose.
Neither can yours.
*Five Reasons to Love the Person God Created*
1. You Carry God's Image
📖 Genesis 1:27
You were not created in the image of failure, rejection, or shame.
You carry the imprint of the Almighty.
2. You Are Uniquely Designed
📖 Psalm 139:13-14
God did not create you as a photocopy.
You are an original edition.
There is no second version of you anywhere on earth.
3. You Were Created for Purpose
📖 Jeremiah 29:11
You did not arrive on earth by coincidence.
Your existence is proof that heaven has an assignment with your name on it.
4. God's Verdict Matters Most
📖 Romans 8:31
People may have opinions.
God has a verdict.
And His verdict is greater than their opinions.
5. You Are Valuable Beyond Measure
📖 1 Corinthians 6:20
Jesus paid for your redemption with His blood.
Heaven does not make expensive payments for worthless products.
*Practical Steps to Appreciate Yourself*
*
Stop Competing with Everybody
A mango tree does not compete with an orange tree.
A fish does not envy an eagle.
And an eagle does not attend swimming lessons.
Be who God created you to be.
Stop Feeding on Negative Voices
If you continually listen to criticism, eventually you will start speaking it over yourself.
Fill your mind with God's promises instead.
Speak Life Daily
Stop introducing yourself to your problems.
Introduce your problems to your God.
Speak what heaven says about you.
Use What God Has Given You
The best way to appreciate God's gifts is to use them.
Your talents were not given for storage.
They were given for impact.
*Prayer*
Abba Father,
Thank You for creating me with wisdom, purpose, and love. Deliver me from every spirit of comparison, self-rejection, and inferiority. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and to walk confidently in the identity You have given me. Let every negative label be broken, and let Your truth reign in my heart.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
*Prophetic Declaration*
I declare today:
I am not a mistake.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I reject every voice of inferiority.
I embrace God's purpose for my life.
I am loved, chosen, equipped, and destined for greatness.
I shall shine with the glory of God and fulfill my divine assignment.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
*Reflection Questions*
🪞 Have I been seeing myself through God's eyes or through people's opinions?
🪞 What negative label must I reject today?
🪞 What gift or ability has God given me that I need to begin using more effectively?
*Final Charge*
The world may criticize your appearance, question your background, mock your limitations, or underestimate your potential.
Do not panic.
People once doubted Nazareth.
They later met Jesus.
People may doubt you today.
Tomorrow they may become evidence that God can turn ordinary stories into extraordinary testimonies.
Never apologize for being the masterpiece God intentionally created.
You are heaven's poetry, grace's testimony, and purpose wrapped in human flesh.
Walk tall.
Smile often.
Trust God completely.
And never forget:
If God made you, then you are already carrying something wonderful.
Your Brother in Christ,
