📖 THE ELEVENTH COMMANDMENT:
"Continue If You Like!"
( Ku ci gaba yadda kuke so)
Main Text:
Revelation 22:11–12 (KJV)
«“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”»
🤔 OPENING THOUGHT:
When God Stops Arguing
There is a frightening stage in every examination hall when the invigilator stops explaining the instructions and simply says:
"Start writing."
There is another moment even more frightening when he says:
"Pens down!"
Revelation 22 is God's "Pens down!" announcement to humanity.
For thousands of years, God preached.
He warned.
He pleaded.
He forgave.
He sent prophets.
He sent apostles.
He sent revivals.
He even sent His only begotten Son.
Yet some people are still attending church like tourists visit museums—looking but never changing.
So at the end of the Bible, God essentially says:
"If after all this preaching you still want to continue, continue!"
That is what I call The Eleventh Commandment.
Not because God approves sin, but because there comes a point when repeated choices become permanent identities.
😂 THE GOSPEL OF "I WILL CHANGE TOMORROW"
One of the most populated countries on earth is not Nigeria, China, or India.
It is the Republic of Tomorrow.
Millions live there.
"I will pray tomorrow."
"I will repent tomorrow."
"I will forgive tomorrow."
"I will stop gossiping tomorrow."
"I will stop cheating tomorrow."
"I will start reading my Bible tomorrow."
The problem is that tomorrow is the most successful liar ever created.
It never arrives.
And before many people realize it, they have become professional sinners waiting for a future holiness that never comes.
📌 THE ELEVENTH COMMANDMENT EXPLAINED
God is not saying:
"Be wicked."
God is saying:
"You have become what you repeatedly choose."
The unjust man keeps practicing injustice until it becomes his nature.
The holy man keeps pursuing holiness until it becomes his lifestyle.
Nobody suddenly becomes a saint.
Nobody accidentally becomes a devil.
Both are products of daily decisions.
As someone humorously said:
"Character is like pregnancy; after a while everybody will know."
🔥 THREE UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTHS
1. What You Repeat, You Become
A man who tells one lie feels guilty.
A man who tells a thousand lies becomes a politician in his own mind.
The first time corruption shocks the conscience.
The hundredth time it becomes normal.
The first time prayer feels difficult.
The hundredth time prayer becomes delight.
What you practice repeatedly is quietly creating your future self.
«"As he thinketh in his heart, so is he." — Proverbs 23:7»
You cannot sow weeds and expect roses.
God does not bless crops He never planted.
2. Grace Is Free, But It Is Not Forever
Many people treat grace like an unlimited data subscription.
They assume Heaven renews it automatically every month.
But Scripture warns us:
«"My Spirit shall not always strive with man." — Genesis 6:3»
God is patient.
Very patient.
But patience is not permission.
The door Noah built remained open for years.
The day it closed, nobody could reopen it.
The tragedy of many people is not that God never spoke.
The tragedy is that they kept postponing obedience until the voice became faint.
3. Judgment Will Be Individual
On Judgment Day, God will not ask:
"Who was your pastor?"
He will ask:
"Who were you?"
He will not ask:
"How many prophetic handkerchiefs did you collect?"
He will ask:
"Did you obey Me?"
He will not ask:
"How many church uniforms did you sew?"
He will ask:
"Was your heart transformed?"
Your church attendance register is not your passport to Heaven.
Your denomination is not your advocate.
Your title is not your righteousness.
The Bishop's microphone cannot amplify your holiness before God.
🪞 PERSONAL HEART CHECK
Ask yourself honestly:
If Jesus returns today, am I ready or merely religious?
Am I becoming more like Christ or simply becoming older?
Is my Christianity transforming my character or only my vocabulary?
Do I know church language without knowing God?
Many people can speak fluent "Hallelujah" and still live in spiritual bankruptcy.
🌍 THE PROBLEM WITH THIS GENERATION
This generation wants the Crown without the Cross.
The Reward without Responsibility.
The Resurrection without Crucifixion.
We celebrate convenience and call it spirituality.
We celebrate compromise and call it wisdom.
We celebrate worldliness and call it relevance.
But Heaven has not changed its standards.
What God called sin in Genesis is still sin in Revelation.
💡 LIFE APPLICATION
Today, before you pray for a breakthrough, pray for alignment.
Before asking God to change your situation, ask Him to change your character.
Before requesting promotion, examine your devotion.
Check your patterns.
Patterns reveal destiny.
Correct what God has been correcting.
Obey what God has been saying.
Do not postpone repentance.
Delayed obedience is still disobedience wearing a wristwatch.
🔥 PROPHETIC CHARGE
Beloved, Christ is coming.
Not for church actors.
Not for spiritual comedians.
Not for religious influencers.
He is coming for people whose lives match their confession.
The greatest deception is not being deceived by Satan.
The greatest deception is deceiving yourself.
Choose righteousness while choice remains.
Choose holiness while grace still speaks.
Choose Christ while the door remains open.
Because a day is coming when Heaven will stop persuading and start rewarding.
And on that day, everyone will receive according to the life they chose.
🙏 PRAYER
Father, search my heart and expose every hidden compromise. Deliver me from the deception of postponement. Give me the courage to obey You today and not tomorrow. Let my life reflect genuine righteousness, holiness, and unwavering devotion until Christ returns. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
